The Akoya Mini from Medion is a 10 inch small notebook which is powered by Intel’s Atom processor, on-board Linux, 1GB RAM, two USB 2.0 ports, a memory card slot, VGA out, and a 1.3MP webcam. This UMPC will be released in Europe soon for €399

Genius will be dropping two new pen tablets called the G-Pen M712 and M609. Both featuring Vista / Mac-compatible software, 4,000 LPI resolutions, rolling pads at the top for scrolling, zooming and adjusting volume. The M609 features a display of 9- x 5.5-inches (wide) / 7.25- x 5.5-inches (standard) 26 hot keys in comparison to the M712 featuring a display of 12- x 7.25-inches (wide) / 9.5- x 7.25-inches (standard) and 34 hot keys. Both should be dropping soon for $195 and $249. [

The Alienware Area-52 m17x gaming laptop will be dropping very soon. It comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, twin GPUs for great SLI action, a WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200) display, up to 4GB of DDR2 RAM, lots of hard drive space, a dual-layer DVD writer (or optional Blu-ray burner), several ports and a 12-cell battery that lasts about an hour. The m17x starts at $2,949 in late May.

Running Linux on IBM Laptop Lenovo ThinkPad T60 The Lenovo ThinkPad T60 series is the first ThinkPad to be released with the new Intel Core Duo processor. The ThinkPad T-series can be thought of as the flagship of the ThinkPad brand, it's squarely targeted towards business users and professionals. Durability, security, usability and performance are all important characteristics of the ThinkPad T-series. The T60 carries on these traditions with a jump in performance from the most recent T43 and some changes to configuration options available and the port and keyboard layout.
An important thing to note regarding the ThinkPad T60 is the fact it comes in two flavors: a 14" screen variety and 15" screen variety. The 14" type offers lighter weight and longer battery life at the expense of a smaller screen. The 15" type T60 offers higher end performance configurations and also the option of a FlexView screen, but at the cost of a higher weight and less power life per battery cell.
